Important Information Regarding Your Greeting Installation

Nobody really likes to read rules and Terms and Conditions, we TOTALLY get it. Bit this information is important so you know what you can expect from us, and what we can expect from you before you rent a Greeting. Please take a moment and get acquainted how we operate. When you book and pay for your Greeting, you have agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Booking and Payment

Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed and added to our calendar only after it is paid for. Email or text correspondence does not imply confirmation. First come. First served.

At the time of booking, Customers will be provided with a link to a Customer Portal, where they are invited to review the order and confirm all details. If Sign Gypsies Vancouver North Shore are provided the wrong address, incorrect contact information, or cannot install due to not having permission on site, or other reasons, refunds will not be provided.
THE RECIPIENT'S/EVENT ADDRESS MUST BE IN THE TERRITORY OF VANCOUVER 'S NORTH SHORE. Refunds will not be provided if an order is placed for delivery outside this territory. A credit will be provided, which must be used within 30 days of original booking.

Installation and Placement

Rental Duration: Rentals last 20-24 hours from installation, based on your confirmed booking time (44-48 hours if you book the extra day rental). If you have a special request due to an event please email us to ensure we can accommodate.

The Greeting may be modified due to yard size and condition, subject to our discretion on the set up day.

Placement: We typically place somewhere center in the front yard but ground conditions can change that. Final placement is at our discretion to ensure the sign is safe and secure and has the best visibility if there are obstructions in the yard. For specific locations, email us in advance.

No backyard installations after dark. Backyard installations must be prearranged, with the homeowner present.

Handling:

Do not move the signs. For repositioning, contact us via email or text.

Minor adjustments due to wind or rain are allowed by the customer. Do not relocate the entire sign or take it down unless advised by an employee of Sign Gypsies.

Safety and Accessibility

Non-Residents: Inform household members of our arrival if you do not live at the installation address to avoid unexpected disturbances. We never want to scare a homeowner or put ourselves in danger.

Divorced/Separated Parents: Obtain written permission from the parent at the installation address if the child is not staying at your property.

Helpful Tips for the Surprise: For surprise Greetings, close blinds, bring dogs inside, and turn off video doorbell alerts. Keep the recipient distracted.

Safety: Ensure no one plays on or around the signs. Our signs are not designed to support weight and could cause injury. Please do not allow children to pick up and play with the graphics on the sign. They are not toys and could cause injury.
Lawn Preparation and Services

Lawn Preparation: To ensure a successful sign install we require that you water your lawn thoroughly in the days leading to our arrival. It is difficult to pound in the stakes with hard ground. No refunds will be issued if the lawn is not adequately prepared.

If you have inground sprinklers that are on a timer, please make sure you have the settings adjusted to be off during our setup and pick-up times.

Sprinklers may move or knock over signs if they spray directly on them. Therefore, if your sprinklers are scheduled to activate early in the morning before the recipient sees the sign, we recommend adjusting the sprinkler timing to ensure the sign remains upright.

Lawn Services: Schedule lawn services before or after the installation period. Do not mow or use a snow blower near the signs. You are also responsible for any damage to the sign from mowing or using a weed eater near the sign.

Advertising Signs: Do not remove or dispose of our Company signs. If removed, a replacement fee of $18.00 will be charged. If this is an HOA violation then please place the advertising sign behind the greeting.
Weather Considerations

Weather Impact: We will secure signs to the best of our ability based on predicted forecasts. If conditions become unsafe, we may alter installation times, reschedule, or pick up early. We do not install during severe weather due to our safety.

Weatherproof Signs: Signs are weatherproof, and do not need to be removed due to rain or snow.

Wind Conditions: In high winds, signs may need to be adjusted or removed early. We do not have control of the wind or the direction in which it blows.

We do our best to be informed of the upcoming wind and secure the sign the best we can. But again, we cannot stop the wind or keep it from blowing the sign.

It is normal for pieces to blow forward or backward in higher winds. Again we try to secure but sometimes that doesn't hold, especially in the summer months where the ground may not have been watered enough to ensure a secure stake. Please feel free to adjust the blowing pieces back to the upright position if you see they have fallen.

Cancellations and Liability

Cancellations: Notify us 48 hours before the installation date for a full refund.

Liability: Sign Gypsies is not responsible, or will be held liable for injuries or property damage during the rental period. You are liable for any damage to our signs due to mowing, weed eating, snow blowing, removal of signs, and adhering items such as balloons, streamers, glue, tape, etc to the signs.

Hold Harmless Agreement: Customer agrees to protect, defend, indemnify Sign Gypsies Vancouver North Shore and hold its officers, employees and agents free and harmless from and against any and all losses, penalties, damages, settlements, costs, charges, professional fees, or other expenses or liabilities of every kind and character arising out of or relating to any and all claims, liens, demands, obligations, actions, proceedings or causes of action of every kind and character in connection with or arising directly or indirectly out of the Sign Gypsies Vancouver North Shore rental agreement and/or the performance thereof. Customer further agrees to investigate, handle, respond to, provide defence for any such claims, etc, at their sole expense and agrees to bear all other costs and expenses related thereto, even if it (claims etc) is groundless, false or fraudulent. This agreement is in effect for the duration of the rental process.

Rental Property: All signs are the property of Sign Gypsies and will be retrieved by us. The signs are rentals and are reused, so normal wear and tear on the signs is inevitable.
Communication and Photo Sharing

Photo Sharing: We love receiving daytime photos! Email, text, or tag us on social media for us to share in your celebration.

Pickup: We will retrieve the signs. Do not move or disassemble them. Please notify us if a sign is accidentally left behind.
